Who Is Grant Michael Scott
With a hearty laugh you can hear down the block and over a decade of improvisation experience under his belt, Grant Michael Scott has been involved with Bandit Theater longer than almost anyone else. As the first Bandit Theater student ever, Grant now directs the influencer-roasting show Gramworthy and performs in the tarot-reading-based show, The Reader. Grant is a hilarious improviser and someone you can always count on to keep things moving forward. Now you can get to know Grant a little better.
Establishing Base Reality
In simple terms, the Base Reality of a scene is the Who, the What, and the Where. Think of a metaphor of the scene being a house. The base reality is the foundation. Not only does base reality help add context to those who are watching, but it establishes an agreed-upon context where the scene can build upon in order to find the funny. Not everything can be off the wall, that’s just nuts. There needs to be a foundation from which the first unusual thing can be found.

Spooky Night: Improv Based on the Writings of R.L. Stine
Join Bandit Theater for our Spookiest show yet! For this Halloween show, a special guest will read a page out of a masterwork of horror from the legendary R.L. Stine, then our group of improvisers will use it as inspiration for their set of comedy. Costumes are highly encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best costume!
